Current Feedback:

We have had some brilliant bits of feedback from the students who went on HOST visits at Christmas and New Year and the hosts who guested them. We are currently undertaking a project to capture feedback and to let you know when your students have had a good time. If you would like to know more or have some publicity materials produced just for you using your own students, please contact Mavy.

"Everything was perfect! From the first moment we met I felt very welcome and comfortable. My hosts were so friendly! We had lots to talk about and it was never boring." - German student, Kings' College London

"It was my first time to experience Christmas in the UK. My host family was hospitable and treated me as family which felt really nice. Since going for a host visit, I liked Uk and its people more than before." Japanese student, Lancaster University.

"It was much better than I expected! The hosts were really nice during the whole weekend. They taught me dozens of things about British culture and lifestyle that I'd never have known if I hadn't been there. I enjoyed every second of my weekend!" Spanish student, University of Warwick.

"Am I just very lucky or are all International Students delightful! Miao was wonderful company and joined in everything with great enthusiasm!" By host Joyce in Somerset

"Having a student made it a special christmas. We enjoyed every bit!" Hosts in Hampshire

"Miyuki was a delightful guest. We loved having her to stay. She was interested in cooking and helped me make minced pies. She cooked us some Japanese food 'Nikujaga' made with chicken and vegetables. It was delicious! I have kept the recipe! We have invited her to stay another weekend in Spring before she returns to Japan. She gave us a lovely 'Thank You' card when she left. It brought tear to my eyes reading it. Here is a quote from it: "Since I came to UK I have stayed alone and sometimes missed my family but you treat me kindly like my family and I was really happy to spend time with you! It was a big christmas present for me and I never forget your love..." I hope all other host visits were as happy as ours this Christmas. All the best for 2006." Host family in Lancashire
